DELab 2015!

Lilongwe

Wayne and Lauren have arrived in Malawi. With the DELab just a few short days away, there is so much to accomplish! We have experts coming in to Mzuzu from all over Malawi as well as from the U.S. and South Africa to share their ideas and experience.

We have a cohort of thirty talented and energetic individuals tackling issues ranging from renewable energy, to Vitamin A deficiencies, to feminine hygiene. They come from a variety of educational, socio-economic, and employment backgrounds, each bringing their own unique perspective and expertise that will surely prove invaluable to the group.

The excitement is coursing through each of us, with an understanding of what is to come…

Thirty people will gather together for six days to share ideas, gain experience, and build marketable proposals for small businesses that will change the way the private sector addresses poverty in Malawi. The atmosphere of collaboration and enthusiasm will be the kind that only comes about when a group of like-minded individuals comes together with a specific goal in mind, a dream to accomplish.

We are thrilled to take this next step with all of you. Special thanks to our partners and our supporters, including the mHub in Lilongwe, Ernst and Young, Josiah Chavula, Wendy Scheder Black, and Lila Burgos for offering their resources as well as their expertise. We could not have done it without you.

Until Next Time,
